Where can I get job search advice and support?

Your local WorkOne office can support you, helping you find the resources you need to secure a job, explore new careers or get career advice. They can talk to you about no-cost education and training to help you get a high-paying job and on the path to meaningful career.

Learning about your own interests and skills - or "agilities" - can help to ensure you make a good match. You may be surprised to learn that jobs you never considered - like construction or manufacturing - are a great fit for you and pay well!

Can I get training?

Did you know there are no-cost training options available for certain jobs in Indiana? The Workforce Ready Grant provides tuition-free training in high-paying, in-demand industries. 

How do I make a resume?

Resumes and cover letters when applying to new jobs can be tricky--thankfully there are tools to help make this process easier. You can also check out Indiana University's free career resources that go over resumes (and good verbs to choose), cover letters, interview tips, and more!

Learn more about Indiana's college, career, and technical training options - as well as grants and scholarships that may be available to you - at the Commission for Higher Education website. 

Psst... When you are ready, you can also establish a special savings account - called a 529 - for your little one. This savings can grow tax-free until they are ready for school or college!

Absolutely. The Urban Leagues in NE and NW Indiana both offer job fairs, headshots, high school equivalency opportunities to earn your degree, and other workforce investment opportunities.
