Work with the Indiana Community Action Poverty Institute
We often partner with community organizations for a range of projects that align with our mission of promoting financial well-being. Within the scope of our focus, we can conduct needs assessments for your community, help you formulate a strategic plan in one of our action areas, conduct research of interest, assist in the creation of media kits or research messaging plans, or discuss an alternative project that you feel we may be a good fit to support with.

Strategic Planning
The Institute collaborated with the Region 9 Planning Council (“R9PC”) to conduct research and strategic planning process to promote access to safe, stable, and affordable housing and community connections for all Region 9 residents. We constructed a Strategic Plant that offers solutions and insights arrived at through the research process.

Research Reports
The Institute has collaborated with stakeholders engaged in different facets of financial well-being, including researching electricity affordability with Citizens Action Coalition ("CAC") and experiences of homelessness and affordable housing with Region 9 Planning Council (“R9PC”). These research reports vary in methodology depending on the needs of our partner, availability of data, and chosen scope of project, however all reports center Hoosier voices of lived experience in to highlight the human impact of policymaking.

Community Needs Assessments
The Indiana Community Action Poverty Institute regularly works with community partners to understand their communities' needs and what policy or programmatic support is needed to ensure that members of their communities can thrive. Community Action Agencies have been our most frequent partners with this work, however, we enjoy working with partners of aligned values regardless of community action affiliation.
